With the crippling rise in energy prices today the police are warning about scams linked to the relief being provided by the government. This relief will be paid automatically either to the energy supplier or in grants via people’s bank accounts. If the money does not arrive in that way in due course people should speak to their energy suppliers or Citizens’ Advice – DO NOT respond to any random text or email messages.
